The demos work, aswell as the following, which is a C version of my
test program.

#include "GL/gl.h"
#include "GL/glut.h"

void
simple_render ()
{
  glClear (GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT);
  glFlush ();
}

int
main (int argc, char** argv)
{
  glutInitDisplayMode (GLUT_SINGLE|GLUT_RGB);
  glutCreateWindow ("Title.");
  glutDisplayFunc (simple_render);
  glutMainLoop ();
  return 1;
}

I'm using
- CMUCL 19a dated 2003-11-02
- XFree86 4.2.0
- freeglut 2.0.1
- linux 2.4.19
