fm^ is a relatively new macro in the cells package. is it possible that 
you are building against the latest cells release? that would not have 
fm^. and yes, i have to get this sorted out, ie, maintain cells as cells 
and cello as cello. now, apparently. :) but portacello2 is a standalone 
distro, so you need to run against the cells code in there.
