Hi John,

I don't know why it didn't work before your CVS update, but I  
wouldn't expect 0.9.4 to work with CVS SLIME. You should try  
upgrading your SBCL if you want to use this version of SLIME.

If that doesn't help, rm -rf ~/.slime and watch the *inferior-lisp*  
buffer for any compilation warnings or errors. Also, are you on  
Linux? If so, what version of the kernel? There have been several  
kernel bugs in various 2.6 versions from 2.6.9 to 2.6.11 which  
interact badly with SBCL.
