Thank you for the patch.  I applied this part.

I don't like wrap around, so I left this part out to keep the code
simpler.  We can re-add it if someone feels strong about this feature.

BTW, I would appreciate if you could include a ChangeLog entry for
your patches.  Also, try to avoid "-do-" in function names which don't
iterate.
