no worries, i didn't read it that way, and sorry if i sounded like
suggesting that.

re commit bits, i guess for handing some out first we need people to
step up and volunteer... ;)

i support anyone who deals with the codebase responsively (doesn't
experiment with revolutionary refactorings in the official repo).
