I thought there already was a latin-2 encoding (from the friends from Hungary :) but it seems not to be in the repository. Message-ID: <1e2f01c7882b$b59af0b0$1402a8c0@marcx2> A recent blog entry (1) from Christophe Rhodes reminded me that I had put an advertising clause in the licence of cl-pdf and cl-typesetting. The idea behind this advertising clause was to help promote Common Lisp by giving it more visibility. Nowdays I think it's probably more a nuisance than a good thing so I removed it and replaced it by this text: "Note that though this licence has no advertising clause anymore, it is recommenced that applications using cl-pdf/cl-typesetting, like Web servers, Web applications or native applications, insert somewhere (in the about or credits page for instance) "Document(s) generated with cl-pdf/cl-typesetting" This is not a licence requirement and is only asked as a way to to help promote the use of the Common Lisp language." The typesetting backend is very feature poor and slow, but it's there and it works well enough to typeset some simple articles. http://cliki.net/Exscribe [ Fran?ois-Ren? ?VB Rideau | Reflection&Cybernethics | http://fare.tunes.org ] The libertarian revolution will be won, not when the last robber is hanged with the bowels of the last fraudster, but when the ever recurrent wannabee robbers and fraudsters are met with the good-hearted laughter of men who know they are well-armed to resist both physically and intellectually. Hopefully this will complement cl-typesetting functionality nicely. One major shortcoming of cl-typesetting that is holding exscribe-typesetting back is the lack of the mechanism to place footnotes on the page they belong. If nothing is planned in this regard by cl-typesetting developers, I will implement it - and I will be grateful for any thoughts and pointers on how to go about it (concering algorithms and cl-typesetting architecture). Thanks to Marc and other cl-pdf and cl-typestting developers for the wonderful libraries; same to Far? for exscribe. Denis.
