What is the reason the client wants to use this combination?

FWIW, I'm also in favor of removing the mod_lisp code as it will make
Hunchentoot's code base cleaner and easier to maintain.  Given that
adding mod_lisp to the mix makes your web apps much harder to debug
(IMHO of course, YMMV), I'm willing to sacrifice the performance
advantages it might have.
