Rick,

I'll clean up the code I've currently got and make it available to the members 
of the list. It will just be a prototype and will only implement some of the 
GTK classes, but it should be enough to demonstrate how a set of wrapper 
classes might work.

The list members can give it a try and offer suggestions for improving the 
design.  Before we know it, we could have a good set of classes.  I'll try to 
upload the prototype by the end of September.
