[elephant-devel] What to use, what not to use...

Derived index slots have been around for quite some time (before 0.5  
and 0.6 at least).  I'm surprised coverage of them isn't in the  
manual.  The interface changed a few years ago (they are now defined  
in the slot defs and not subject to dynamic addition/removal).   
However they were broken a few months ago; I think Leslie was looking  
at it but I can't recall.

Association slots were added recently and have not been fully tested.   
They should be considered in beta.

If I send you a short description in the next few days will you  
volunteer to update the docs?  :)
