Something like this:

(hunchentoot:define-easy-handler (hello :uri "/hello") (name)
 ;; call with /hello?name=foo
 (setf (hunchentoot:content-type*) "application/json")
 (json:encode-json-plist-to-string `(:msg ,(format nil "Hello ~a" name))))
